WIP on a Tuesday...

Hi everyone....

A few years back I watched a movie on TV - no idea of the name - but it was about a town in Ireland and 2 lawyers had to get info about a couple from people in the town. The thing that has stuck in my mind all this time was that everywhere they went or spoke to people the answer was the same  -
"we're closed on a Tuesday"....
So the words....on a Tuesday have become something of a joke in our house. On Tuesday you need to use that phrase as much as you can in a 'normal' conversation. Most of the time we're just in fits of laughter at each other....
Just keeping things 'real'

So what are we going to do this Tuesday....

First of all let me say that we collected USD $150 to send to Ramona.  Yaaaay! She will then send it to the woman and her kids that need help. I hope $150 is worth a lot more in USA than here....

Thanks very much to everyone who sent us a 'donation' for a pattern. I send a  HUG to you all!!!

**************************************

And so....

This is Whiskers. Such a cute cat!!

She's the inspiration behind the Adventures of Mr Whiskers blocks....
the whole time I was calling her a he and didn't realize the mistake....oops!

Each month I design a new Adventure of
Mr Whiskers block for the Paper Piecing Magazine...

'cause why not................
I love cats! what can I say.........

 This is block #1
Mr Whiskers night out.......(issue #13)

The blocks measures 18" (47cm)

Great for a pillow or as a novelty quilt.

This is block #2
Mr Whiskers in the Magnolia tree....(Issue #14)

The Paper Piecing magazines can be found in my Craftsy store

or more info here: www.qadpublishing.blogspot.com

Each magazine is full of paper pieced patterns of differing difficulty levels.....and I never have something so hard that no one can make it.......

and that's it ....for a Tuesday....
I hope you all have a great day!!

Its Friday.....already...

Hello to everyone
Its already Friday and I've only managed about a third of what I need to do...

My left shoulder is hurting up a storm and it feels exactly the same as what happened to the right one a while back.... I don't even want to say it out loud in case the shoulder hears me and gets ideas....
Very Frustrating!!

So what have I to show and tell today??

Let me introduce you to Mr Magic...
He lives in the San Francisco area with his momz Ramona...
I love to watch all his antics on Instagram...

Pattern #1

Mr Magic is a Rat Terrier...
didn't even know it was legit... and reminds me somewhat of my dog - a Jack Russell

Pattern #2

I made a few patterns for Ramona because I just love that cute face of Magic's...

These patterns aren't in my Craftsy shop because they're special....

They're used to collect money to send to a family in need....
A long sad case of abuse etc. but we don't need to get into that....
The mom and 3 kids with a dog need some love and support.......

PLEASE help us to send them something nice and let them know they're not alone...
If you would buy any of the 2 patterns (Each are $5) we can send them a "Hello" from everyone who participated. Both patterns measure 16" (42cm) and are on the Intermediate level.

NO they didn't ask me to run this - I just feel they need a little encouragement....who doesn't...

You can send a payment to my Paypal directly and leave a note that says Mr Magic #1 or #2 with your email address and I will send the PDF to your email promptly... promise!!

Thanks so very much
I will show exactly how much we managed to collect for her over the next week.

Landscape Row #4

Hello everyone!

We need to get back to the
Landscape Rows....

We're finishing up with Landscape Row #4

I forgot I was using the old pattern I made a long time ago and my row doesn't have the extended landscape to it. No biggie....

I've seen 2 of the other rows made and uploaded onto facebook and they're really amazing!!

I will also upload the Landscape Row #5 to Craftsy
This has a very Asian feel with Cherry trees.

I changed a few of the round balls (leaves) to a green colour on the pattern, but feel free to keep them all pink if you like it that way.

I made a start on my row and its really sweet....

I just have to put it to one side and finish up a few other projects that are screaming for attention.

The row measures 12x40" (31x129cm) and is on the intermediate level.

Day #3 of the Christmas in July Giveaway!

We're already on Day #3 of the Christmas in July Giveaway!
Time really does fly when you're having FUN!!

For day #3 we have a cute Christmas Star pattern.

The pattern measures 10" (25cm) and is on the Intermediate Level

I made the star have a small square so that there are not a whole lot of points at the centre to match up... I've tried and tried on those and I still cannot get it right or that it lies flat....
With the small square in the centre you can rotate your seams behind it and it should be a whole lot better.

You can download your FREE for the day pattern HERE......
I hope you enjoy sewing these blocks...

and just before you go...
A few old and some new Christmas patterns....

What did you get me?...

Night before Christmas....

In the Chimney....
